We the People In Truth began in 2026 as a grassroots community effort led by people who wanted to ensure that neighbors facing uncertainty had access to clear information and support.
Across the country, families often face immigration enforcement situations without knowing their rights or where to find help. In many communities, especially rural areas, accessible information can be difficult to find.
Our organization was created to help close that gap by providing educational materials, community safety guides, and connections to trusted resources.
We believe that informed communities are stronger communities.
When neighbors understand their rights and have access to trusted information, they are better able to protect themselves, support one another, and navigate difficult situations with confidence.
Knowledge is protection.
Community is power.
Our work is grounded in compassion, dignity, and the belief that every person deserves to feel safe and supported in their community.
Our work focuses on education, community support, and peaceful advocacy to
ensure neighbors have access to accurate information and resources.
We create accessible community safety guides and educational materials that help individuals understand their rights and available resources.
Volunteers distribute free educational materials at schools, businesses, and community events and spaces throughout Northern Michigan.
We participate in peaceful community advocacy efforts and help connect neighbors with organizations that provide trusted legal and community support.
We the People In Truth is entirely community funded and community supported.
If you would like to volunteer, distribute safety guides, or help expand outreach in Northern Michigan,
we would love to hear from you.
Together we can ensure our neighbors have access to the information and support they deserve.
